Chris will talk you through fabric selection, project planning, layouts, cutting techniques and patience-saving tips that you need to get started.
Starting quilting is like opening the door to a new way of seeing fabric - everything suddenly looks like a potential quilt. Quilting is a great way to use up fabric scraps, or you can buy the very best fabric for it. It's a slow, thoughtful craft, so don't expect to leave with fully finished quilts as the whole point is that they aren't made overnight. But you will have the skills you need to launch your quilting - but beware! It can become a passion and we've seen quite a few people leave this class to become addicted quilters, moving on to create really big beautiful handmade quilts.
So join us for a relaxing, friendly introduction to the zen world of quilting. We'll supply a really gorgeous stash of fabric to choose from, all included in the price, so you don't need to bring anything at all but your enthusiasm.
